One of the most asked questions I get from entrepreneurs is “Where can I find high-end clients online?” This is when I thought about how I could break it down into an ultra-simple and elegant process for you.  If you want to master high-end client attraction online, you need the P.H.D. This isn’t some high-level study course, it is the high impact steps you need to take right now to ensure that the right clients find you and you find them.  

 

Let’s explore your P.H.D:

 

PERSONA

Some time ago, I was hosting a brand launch event with a client. Since we knew that we wanted to build a relationship with key business partners, we sat down and really strategically identified who needed to be on our guest list. Of course, to identify who, we needed to know what we wanted to achieve. So once it was clear that only a certain type of person who had a certain position or company size would be a fit, we then invited them. Now just imagine, if we randomly started creating a guest list.

We would not achieve our goal of reaching the right people. It’s the same with attracting high-end clients. You have to first know what you want to achieve. And then identify the people that are best suited to help you achieve it. So if you’re selling $20,000 consulting services, then you need to understand the client who can invest at that level. Because it is very different from say one who can invest $5000 or $100,000.  What you want to achieve will be a guide for who you need to reach.  

 

HOTSPOT 

When I was publishing a luxury lifestyle magazine that featured superyachts, I always needed to find yacht designers and builders to interview on the latest commissions. To find these people, I would travel to yacht shows like the Monaco Yacht Show, one of the biggest superyacht events. There I would get to tour these mega floating marvels, speak with the agents, designers, and network at the evening soirees. 

If I wanted to meet these superyacht industry professionals, I needed to be at the hotspot where they were all gathering. Lucky for us, today, you have the Internet and you can reach almost anyone online. To successfully reach your ideal persona/client, you need to identify their social media hotspot. Don’t try to be on all the social channels. Focus on the hotspot where your persona is spending time and be visible there.  

 

DESIRE

There is a restaurant that I love to eat at in Paris and I remember the first time I went there with my friend Vickie. Every waitress looked like she was straight off the runway and the people who sat outside all looked glamorous and St Tropez chic. I found out that the media is constantly showing Hollywood celebrities who dine there. One of the ladies at the table next to us explained that this restaurant made sure to place only the most fashionable guests on the outside. This acted as a lead magnet for anyone who wanted to be anyone to go there. 

It is the same with attracting high-end clients online. You need a lead magnet. Something that makes your brand more desirable to the right people. In the case of that restaurant, the Paris elite and the fashionistas want to be seen there because it makes them look en Vogue and adds to their status. What do your clients want? What do they really desire? You have to know that and create that point of attraction that will draw them in once you have identified the hotspot. 

When you combine these three things, the P.H.D is powerful and will help you attract and get seen by the right clients.
