I’ve always loved a good DIY project around the house. It’s one of the ways that I completely switch off from what often feels like a love affair with my laptop. So recently, I told Ulli about my new home project. He said “Hanna, I think you need to let Terry (our carpenter/painter) do that job.” I was like “Honey, that is an easy one. I can handle it.” In my mind thinking that there is nothing me a good can of Rustoleum spray paint can’t handle.
He warned that I was underestimating this and we should get the pro to help out. I thought “there he is exaggerating again.” I can handle it I thought. He sweetly promised to help me.
I got started and within 5 minutes I realized that he was right. I had totally underestimated what it would take to get the job done. The trusty spray paint that had helped me bring new life to small tasks was not working on this relatively bigger job.

This moment reminded me that we can often underestimate what it will take to accomplish some of our biggest goals.

While you may have been able to DIY to this point, often the next level requires a whole different approach. The tools that got you here often won’t take you there. I wasted practically an entire day trying to fix, near-disasters on a job that could have been done with the help of a pro in 4 hours.
I see this often with my clients who have great expertise but are not brand strategists or experienced in online marketing. When Patience came to me she had spent years trying to figure out how to bring her passions together into a business that she can monetize. She felt like she was constantly straddling two worlds. One moment she was a doctor, the next moment she was a singer. She was passionate about both but could not see how these two passions could come together into a cohesive brand. She was frustrated feeling like she was living two different lives but never feeling fulfilled living them in turn.
After just the first hour of our coaching session, I helped her flip the switch to see how she could create a brand that embodied her two passions without feeling like she was living pieces of herself behind. For years she was trying to figure it out on her own with little success.
Taking her through my Powerhouse Presence process, she was able to flip the switch and see her brand differently. She said “You helped me get unstuck!”
I’m not sure where you are right now in the journey to building your world-class brand, living out your full potential and creating the financial success that you desire.
What I want to share with you is that if you have not been able to grow your business consistently, take your ideas and turn them into revenue-generating high-end services/products to scale to six/seven figures, then take the ultimate short-cut.
You don’t have to make this journey harder than it needs to be trying to DIY, making mistakes, second-guessing yourself, and not playing full out.
This is your year to flip the switch on your success and claim your place as a go-to world-class brand.
