We have identified FOUR POWERHOUSE BRAND BUILDING STAGES that I guide my clients to implement the correct strategy for that stage.

They are:

STAGE #1- Heir Apparent Stage:

At this stage, you have a desire to create a business. You know that one day you will be a ruler but it’s not quite clear when, what or how. You are closely following other leaders with admiration and for inspiration. At this stage you are mostly an observer, gather information, spending time around various court rulers (for note-taking and trying to find your way to what empire you truly desire to create.

STRATEGY: Allow yourself to try different things to see what you really love and feel connected to in a way that feels more like a mission, life call rather than just a way to make money. You can’t inherit or make money yet because you have nothing to sell at this stage. You need to ascend the throne to be in a position to do that.

STAGE #2- Ascending the Throne Stage:

At this stage, you have identified what you are truly passionate about. You have made the decision to start your own business.

You have a title (e.g. Life coach) and the industry you want to build this empire in. You’re watching a lot of podcasts, webinars and spending hours on YouTube and Google trying to get information to launch.

Often at this stage, the first thing most new entrepreneurs do is create a website and logo and start trying to sell. You will for the first time, appoint yourself a title like that tells the world about your new status.

At the ascension stage, you feel like you are finally getting on track to building your empire but may not have all the pieces in place to effectively make it happen.

STRATEGY: What you need at this stage is total clarity on your business model, brand strategy, identify the niche and make out your path to conquest. For your brand to conquer markets, you need great products/services.

Plus a core message (conquest needs great campaigns. Your message is central to motivating people to support you and love you enough to take action with you to build a unified empire).

Knowledge and identification of the ideal client that is right for your skills, expertise and experience, is key.

Creating a strong distinction for your brand from day one will enable potential clients and customers to see you as more desirable and communicate in a way that is distinct.

This is where you focus on leveraging your IT FACTOR to communicate in the market. Remember you are not in the business of selling products and services, you are in the business of creating desire.

Your stories and brand visuals are even more powerful when you understand your archetypes and the archetype of the market. I call it the three perfect F.I.T™ for your market.

Having a world-class brand image that is a reflection of your new Royal status, strategy, and causes others to recognize you as a leader to watch, follower and buy from is very important in today’s market. At this stage, you are now focused on building up your Royal treasury. An empire needs cash-flow to grow.

To do this you need to announce to the entire kingdom (industry) that you are here and share your vision, story and new solution to making their lives more prosperous, joyous and peaceful.

Be mindful because you will need to K.I.S.S.S. the market: KEEP IT SIMPLE, SEDUCTIVE. STYLISH. One solid offer, signature lead magnet, and great content on social media posts and consistent image.

Don’t focus on big media yet, leverage social media. Ensure that all the necessary systems, structures and strategies are in place to help you execute well.

STAGE 3- Empire Conquest Stage:

At this stage, you have started to attract some clients. As you deliver your products and services, you are starting to uncover new things about yourself, the market and how to serve them better.

Usually, you are tweaking and refining your offer and making it even stronger and more compelling.

If your core message and strategy has been crafted well in stage 2 will remain the same, your marketing and promotional messages and campaigns will be refined, adaptive to the market. How you reach clients may also need to shift or tweaked due to changes in the market conditions or strategy of your brand.

STRATEGY: Your focus at this stage is acquiring as many customers as possible. A clear brand awareness campaign, high-level annual and 90-day marketing plan is key.

This is the stage that you also want to become more visible in your market. Once you have a world-class product, message, and image, it is time to build your visibility campaign leveraging various media.

At this stage, your brand needs to start building up an omnipresence. A strong content strategy will also be very important. Fiercely continue to build your brand image and presence.

You want 100% control on the narrative in the market, and you want to be selective about who, when, where and how that narrative reaches your ideal clients.

The more archetypal the storytelling and marketing, the more consistent will be your messaging and connection to the right clients for your brand. Consistency for brands is important to build trust and connection.

Leverage OPM. Other People’s Media. To this day Prada, Versace, and Chanel do not have their own fashion magazine. Think like a mogul and use established media to get your brand out there.

CONTINUE TO PASSIONATELY K.I.S.S.S (KEEP IT SIMPLE, SEDUCTIVE AND STYLISH) in the market.

STAGE 4- Powerhouse Ruler:

At this stage, you have probably already made hundreds of thousands of dollars or millions in your business. It is a great idea to conduct a thorough brand audit to evaluate your perception versus the market perception of your brand.

A revisit of the brand positioning strategy may be required to bridge any gaps between your brand, your ideal clients and the market.

You have a proven business model and message (visual and written) and marketing strategies are solid. If it is no longer serving the strategic vision for your brand, this may need to be revamped.

STRATEGY: At this stage, with a strong brand and consistent revenue, it is time to build your Royal Court. The royal court is your powerhouse team that will advise, implement and support the growth of your brand.

Create systems and processes that are documented using a detailed brand style guide. This is important to ensure the standardized execution of your services and operations ensuring high service quality.

You may also at this stage be planning to expand the empire by claiming more territory and entering new markets.

This will require looking at the brand strategy to ensure that it can successfully be applied to foreign or international markets and adapt to cultural nuances. How you enter these markets are also key strategic considerations.

Depending on where you are in your business, you may want to consider expansion strategies such as licensing, strategic partnerships or buy-outs.

You also want at this stage to build a fortress. The fortress can come from the strength of message, image, products and service delivery. Investing heavily in brand awareness and media campaigns are key to fortifying the empire.

At this stage, you are also in a great position to create your own media platforms like podcasts.
